About
Hello, my name is Daniel Davis and I am PhD student at the Spatial Information Architecture Laboratory (SIAL). I use this blog to share some of the ideas I come across while studying. Most of the time I will wrap my own critique around these ideas in an attempt to elevate the discussion of digital architecture beyond the coffee table. I try to keep the blog free from promoting my own projects, but if you are interested I keep a somewhat upto date portfolio at nzArchitecture.com. I probably will talk about my PhD a bit, which focuses on the potential of scripting overlays to overcome the inflexibility of the flexible digital model, using Antoni Gaudí’s Sagrada Família as a case study. My supervisors are Mark Burry and Jane Burry.
